Before the plan

Scope questions,
answered clearly.

Can the same plan cover every asset?

The scope should reflect each asset, the available manufacturer documentation, operating context and qualified review. Listing several assets together does not make their maintenance needs identical.

Does the checklist create a service contract?

No. It prepares a local discussion note. Any contract, visit, frequency or commercial term needs a separate review and agreement.

What if previous records are incomplete?

Identify what is available and who can help locate the missing information. Keep the gap in the brief so the reviewing team can agree the next step.
