What actually moves the price
Six factors decide almost every website quote you will ever receive. Knowing them makes it much easier to compare two agencies honestly.
Page count
The single biggest lever. Each page needs layout, responsive testing, content and internal linking. Going from 5 pages to 20 roughly doubles the build, not quadruples it — but it never stays flat.
Design approach
A proven template is fastest and cheapest. Semi-custom adapts a layout to your brand and adds around 25%. Fully custom UI/UX designed from scratch adds around 60% and takes 2-3 weeks longer.
Features and integrations
Payment gateways, booking systems, member logins and third-party APIs each carry build and testing time. Anything that touches money or personal data costs more because it has to be tested properly.
Content
The most under-budgeted item. Copy, images and product data either come from you, or we produce them. Twenty pages of written content is a project in itself.
Traffic plan
SEO, social and ads are monthly, not one-time. They are what turns a website from a brochure into a channel — and they are why the year-one number matters more than the build price.
Maintenance
Hosting, SSL, plugin and core updates, backups and small content changes. Skipping it is how sites get hacked or silently break after six months.

A word on very cheap quotes
If a quote is dramatically below everything else you have seen, something is usually missing from it — hosting for year two, content, revisions, mobile testing, or ownership of the code. Ask three questions before you sign anywhere, including with us:
- What is not included in this price?
- What does year two cost me, once the build is done?
- Do I own the code, the design files and the hosting account?
